ICAIR/LVV/ Boeing Sheffield
Bond Bryan continued their use of Rodeca products from the award winning AMR-TC building onto three further buildings located on Sheffield Business Park.
The Sir henry Royce Institute’s ICAIR, the Integrated Civil & Infrastructure Research Centre and the Laboratory for Validation and Verification (LVV), along with Boeing Sheffield are additions to the University of Sheffield’s existing Rotherham AMP.
ICAIR is a national research facility that seeks to apply world leading research to the construction and infrastructure sectors, with the goal of delivering step changes in productivity and resilience. Crystal panels provided rainscreen and glazing elements to much of the external facades.
The Structural Dynamics Laboratory for Verification and Validation (LVV) is a major new acoustics and vibration testing facility funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the University of Sheffield. Crystal panels up to lengths in excess of 14m provided rainscreen and glazing elements to much of the external facades.
Is the first manufacturing site in Europe where over 100 high-tech actuation system components are manufactured for the 737 and 767, from raw materials sourced in the UK. Rodeca crystal panels were used to provide high levels of diffused light with good thermal performance to the north lights on the saw tooth roof.
